Baoshen Zhong
Chairman of LONGi
Zhong Baoshen, born in December 1967, the Han nationality, is non-partisan. He is the chairman of LONGi (Stock sticker: 601012), President of LONGi Solar Technology Co., Ltd., Chief of China New Energy Chamber of Commerce, Vice Chairman of Shaanxi Federation of Industry and Commerce, Vice Chairman and standing director of Red Cross Society of China Shaanxi Branch, vice chairman of Xi'an Federation of Industry and Commerce.
Mr. Zhong graduated from the School of Physical Science and Technology in Lanzhou University in 1990, majoring in metallurgy.
He joined LONGi in 2006 and once served as chairman and president of Xi'an LONGi Silicon Materials Co., Ltd., chairman, and president of LONGi Solar Technology Co., Ltd.
Mr. Zhong is a well-known expert in the field of magnetic materials and has been engaged in the scientific research of this field for a long time.
He was awarded “Model Worker of Fushun City” in 2000. In 2002, he was awarded the “May Day Labor Medal” and “Excellent Builder of Socialism” of Liaoning province.
In 2002 and 2004, he won the "Outstanding Private Entrepreneur” of Fushun city respectively. For his conscientiousness, he was honored with the “Outstanding Private Entrepreneur” of Liaoning province in 2005 and the “Advanced Worker” of Yinchuan city in 2009. Because of his influence in the energy industry, he was awarded the “Top Ten Economic Figure” of Ningxia Hui autonomous region. In 2016, he was nominated as the "Sina Finance Top Ten Economic Figures of the Year”. For what he has done in the new energy industry, he was awarded the “Top Ten Figures of the Year” and “China’s Energy Person of the Year” in 2017. In 2018, he was honored with the "New Fortune Best Listed Company Navigator" for his leadership.
Mr. Zhong is a passionate philanthropist and has long been involved in various social welfare activities. He has participated in different philanthropic programs. For example, he once helped the post-earthquake reconstruction of Yushu city, donated money to children with congenital heart diseases, and provided financial help for impoverished undergraduates in Lanzhou University and other institutions.
In 2010, Mr. Zhong was awarded the "China Red Cross Humanitarian Service Medal" by the Red Cross Society of China.
